Doncaster Movie Makers started in the 50s as the "Doncaster Cine Guild" |
If you are interested in making movies we are here to help!
Members are encouraged to help each other over practical matters like editing or using a microphone as well as in the theory of film making. Whether you are a complete beginner or an experienced filmmaker, Doncaster Movie Makers exists to bring like-minded individuals just like you, together to share knowledge, have fun and explore the fascinating world of filmmaking - from script to screen and all the fun bits in between Filmmaking is a creative art form which attracts all ages of men and women. It’s a rewarding means of expression making a family or holiday record; creating documentaries, fictional drama, special interest features, musical videos or for screening on YouTube We have demonstration evenings, discussion nights and visits from other clubs - please look at our planned programmes. We are affiliated to the Film & Video Institute (IAC) - the "umbrella" organisation for non-professional film makers and also to NERIAC (it's north east's branch) and WRCG (West Riding Cine Group) which includes clubs from Wakefield, Huddersfield, Bradford, Selby, Leeds and others
